About
Madina Dixon is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She began her career in healthcare working on a medical surgical floor more than eighteen years ago. Madina received her EduCare breast health certification in San Diego, CA, in 2003, which has been a crucial element in the care of women affected with breast diseases and cancer. She attended the National Consortium of Breast Centers conference in Las Vegas in 2008, where she received her certification as a breast self-examination trainer. In 2012, she underwent training for surgical first assist certification. In the past, Madina assisted with data management for a registry trial using intraoperative RT-PCR assay for breast cancer sentinel nodes in collaboration with researchers in Belgium. Madina, in collaboration with Phillip Ley, M.D., FACS, now treats patients for breast cancer and assists with surgical oncology patients through all phases of their diagnosis and treatment.
